Media Monkey - I originally downloaded this with the intention of managing my
huge MP3 library, uhmm, that hasn't happened yet, but it has turned out great at
managing my podcasts (which I play thru my PC and also on my Sony MP3 as I am
not a fan of all things iPod 'n' iTunes). Automatically downloads latest
podcasts I subscribe to and syncs with the Sony player so it does what I need
without complication.
It is very good player, has almost everything I need and ready to expand with
a lot of plugins available. However it is a little unstable under windows 7. Is
there any other good alternative?
Probably the best music player as far as library management. It has tons of
features to let you organize your music how you want it, and great tag editing
too. The only reason I don't use it anymore is because the sound was a bit
crackly (don't know if it happens to everyone or just me).
You have to pay for the full version, which unlocks a lot of features.
MediaMonkey truly puts all other media players to shame in just about every
possible way. It effortlessly handles huge libraries of music, provides
unprecedented flexibility all around, and has an enthusiastic fanbase that
consistently delivers highly functional plugins and extensions for those that
are truly serious about their library organization. Top notch.
Great app, much better than iTunes, especially when used with user scripts
and intelligent playlists. Is showing it's age with current version when
compared to Songbird.
I just discovered this program a few days ago and I'm SO glad I did! It has
helped me properly tag a ton of music with very little extra effort on my part.
The only thing I didn't like is it assigned some random album art to the music
that didn't have any. Thumbs down to that, but a big thumbs up overall.
best music software to organize my whole music colection
Really organize my collection!

Having used Winamp for years, I now only use MediaMonkey. Very good library function (especially with large databases) and many plugin's.
Media monkey is great. The only feature I need now is to be able to apply apple patches for my ipod using it.
