A ton of great features, plugins, and the ability to write your own. The basic interface is great for RSS feeds, email, web base mail, scheduling, etc.., but can be tough to find some settings. Performance is usually good; however, sometimes it takes a little to long to open. Not free, but I didn't pay for it so I don't care.

I've used Outlook Express for a couple of months, but wanted to try out Thunderbird too. Don't know why but I seem to like Thunderbird much more...

Microsoft needs a feature to allow advance users to encode HTML while composing new e-mails in Outlook. A feature like this would be ideal when you need to send out email blast to a distribution group pointing to various links of a website in a newsletter format especially when using mappings.

A next feature that would be great is to be able to set up a rule which allows you to archive e-mails that have been mark as completed. I tried to set this up but currently there is no conditions such as this.

I prefer MS Outlook for my Exchange services however when accessing something such as GMAIL I believe the website is the way to go as it gives me more flexibility and functionality.

Thunderbird is not my preferred e-mail client. It does however offer a neat Text Area portion to encode HTML when composing a e-mail. I would suggest to all MS Outlook junkies to stay away from this client or live with some misery for an hour or two as Thunderbird operates totally on a different platform and functionality so converting e-mails from Thunderbird to Outlook is not simple; there are no such things as archive files (.pst) in Thunderbird.

I rate MS Outlook as great!

It's worth the money. Serious, I was just hatin Outlook before, but the 2007 version is excellent!!!!!

I was using Google's services before... and I would never handle out my contact details to anyone, why should I trust a company that is known for for their wird privacy issues...

A must have for Exchange users. If I didn´t have to use Exchange, I would still use it though. I know it´s bloated, but nothing comes close to integrating Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks in a productive way. The Google ecosystem (Gmail - Calendar with Gears) is coming close but it´s not there yet. If all you´re doing though is email, then you should definitely use something else. (Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird or webmail)

Why is this one of the most annoying programs I know? Why does it not mark email READ when I selected it. Why can I not separate the calendar/agenda function from the email functionality (I want to see them both in one screen instead of...) WHY does it have the worst search ever. Why is it so fraking old-fashioned?
WHY do I have to use it? WHY is the company I work for closed in by MS proprietary programs?

It's poo. Why doesn't it mark an email read when u click it? Get Thunderbird. At least it's not as bad as Lotus Notes.

Outlook 2007 is good organizer/e-mail handler but what makes it great is a little app called ClearContext.

I Love Outlook, I manage my entire life in outlook, sync it with my Windows Smartphone, and use that for email, calendar and tasks too. It's a brilliant product I cannot live without!

I love the new outlook from Office 2007 as it has everything I could need from email software. I still like Windows Live Mail, but outlook takes the cake for me.
