I'm using it for about a week now and no problem so far. There are still a
few small things to be fixed, like the memory usage of the antispyware part of
the software but I think that for now the average user can use it without having
big difficulties.
I just started using this program and so far it seems to do the job and to to
over the top, also has half descent performance which is good on my dual core
laptop.
And it is free, what else could one want.
I just recently started using this in Windows XP and Windows 7 in place of
AVG. So far I have no complaints. I love how much less cluttered MSE is compared
to AVG. It has everything I need in anti-virus software, nothing more and
nothing less.
The Best!.. Hands down.. For all people who picked up the torrent version make sure u upgrade to official release version..
The quoted version number needs changing since that was a leaked version and the legality is questionable. Current version is 1.0.1611.0.
Awesome free Anti-Virus from Microsoft.

love this
A bit heavy in terms of RAM usage, however it never gave me a problem at the moment.
A good attempt from MS. Hopefully it will get better and better over time.

Finally a lightweight and modern antivirus for my laptop!
Fast, lightweight, and free. It's really a good antimalware software based on solid foundations of Forefront.
Trying a M$ Product on 64bit Vista for Security? Go Figure.
It's a surprise!
