Compared to the 2k Explorer a huge list of databases (shared hosting) takes only seconds instead of 10, 20 minutes.
They should have a look at the easy to use backup tool in MySQL Administrator. Perfect for tranfering databases and backups of course.
It's a very good idea to merge Query Analyser and Enterprise Manager. However, the fact that it takes ages to start and close often puts me off using it.
Better than SQL Server 2k, but could be much better than it is.
Just a better interface compared to the SQL 2000. Instead of running Query Analyzer and Enterprise Manager separately like in 2000, it was combined in one for 2005. It also does a better job of optimizing stored procedures and queries. One downside of transitioning from 2000 to 2005 is the remaking DTS packages into SSIS.
Pretty cumbersome interface when compared to older versions but most of our servers require us to use 2005. It's dreadful.
