I think that excerpt refers to the fact that you don't need to manually
enter transactions, like some finance software. Like anything else, it's a
matter of weighing security against convenience. Everyone's mileage may vary
depening where they fall on the scale.
I'm a fan of this type of software, but understand people's security
concerns. To be honest though, you're at a higher risk by simply throwing your
mail away (as opposed to properly destroying it). Most identity fraud is still
done by dumpster divers.
