It feels somewhat weird to give it 5/5 on everything as I am nowhere near an expert in any kind of 3D field, but the work I've done with it makes it leaps and bounds better than 3dsmax, for me.
The first thing that will amaze you is the performance. Click-click, it starts, unlike OTHER 3D software.
Secondly, it has a great interface. While it doesn't mingle with the main UI guidelines for Vista, it's coherent and promotes a great workflow.
Another thing worth mentioning is the respect Luxology has for its customers. They don't believe in licensing software for a computer, but to a man. That way, you have installs on multiple platforms and multiple machines.
Take note, guys! Luxology is on to something!
Works different then other 3D programs I'm familiar with (like Cinema4D and Maya), interface is a bit tricky, but it does the job if you need a subdivision modeler.
Great interface, fast start-up, great rendering. Doesn't do everything, you might need to use a few tricks and hacks if you want to use it for modelling in games, especially older ones (like Source based games), not so much with newer engines (like Unreal 3, or probably Rage).
Amazing Sub-d and poly based modelling package with renderer, uv, sculpting and painting functions, 401 is coming, and looks to be awesome.
