A good alternative to Visual Studio that targets Mono and Linux. An official version for Windows is being developed and it will target .NET Framework as well. MonoDevelop is an early fork of SharpDevelop to GTK, and primary the GNOME environment.
Most Gnome software were made with mono. Use it to make some very small but personal mods and it rocks.
I think it should have a better UI.
Doesn't even come close to Visual Studio (which I consider the best Microsoft app) but still quite good.
A linux version of WebMatrix and Visual Studio. Very good thing =)
