Used it for about a year, it has real problems if for example you update your OS or reinstall it for some reason. It will loose its settings, dont work anymore and keep warning you it did not backup anything even if before the OS update you had a complete backup. Only fix is uninstall and reinstall, modify settings again, and it will start all over losing your previous backup.
So far I'm not happy with it and i stopped using it...
I love Mozy. It gives me confidence that it's running in the background all of the time, constantly backing up my data. Very cheap monthly fee ($4.95 US), which is cheap for the peace of mind.
Mozy is not as good as some people claim it to be, at least for free version. I started using it 2 years ago & stopped using it last year. When you want to retrieve your stored files from Mozy server, it failed everytime. Mozy's feedback? Your hard disk not enough space! Well, I have plenty of space in my HD.
less than 5$ monthly and unlimited space to backup your whole data on your computer. sounds amazing i like those guys.
The best price at this moment for unlimited backup.
Features and Interface are not as good as i wish but the performance and the price give a plus value.
The best.
Best free online service for backup.
I've only been using this program for a few hours, and I am already impressed. After migrating from X-Drive (Shutting down) to Mozy, it was easy to set up, the windows installer was quick and simple to get working, and so far, no problems, and does the job exceedingly well. The program just runs in the background and backs up all documents.
I've had some issues with the Mac client corrupting the configuration database, but when it's stable, it works well. It doesn't need to re-upload on a move or copy, and it seems quite resilient to connection failures.
Wow, just installed it, loving it already
crashplan is better
Mozy is amazing, also...
In addition to all the features
-Microsoft Windows server OS support
-Network share support
-Backup & restore of Exchange, SQL, and VMware
-VSS writer backup and restore to Exchange, SYSVOL, and Active Directory
Thus far, I only know how well Mozy works when it's just hangin' out, doing its thing in the background, but for the last few versions, that's been much improved. My only complaints were some memory and processor hogging issues in the Mac client, but those seem to be completely gone. Also, on my new Mac Pro, where Spotlight works at a reasonable speed, backups seem to process in much less time than on my older, PowerBook G4.
Version 1.0 just came out, and it's a lot faster, more stable, and a lot less of a resource (PowerBook G4 Users).
a nice backup webservice.
