This small app is a HUGE time saver for anyone with a photo camera that can record MOV videos.
I myself have Panasonic DMC-FZ8 camera which can record MotionJPEG videos in MOV containers. I have been looking for an app that would allow me to make these MOV's into AVIs without quality loss, and have stumbled upon this app a bit more than a month ago.
why a time saver? Simple. You take a folder with MOV files from your camera, set filter to MOV, select them all, pick options that app should just copy audio/video streams, and pick a folder. After just a few minutes (REALLY FAST!) you get AVI files which include untouched (original) video and audio in them. Than you can use any video editor (I prefer VirtualDUB) and do whatever you want. Or just join these AVIs in one file, and delete all the avi and mov clips. I do this all the time, and in last 6-7 recordings (10-40 MOV files transfered to AVI containers, and joined to one AVI in VDub) I had zero problems, and I've got no complaints at all!
Application offers recoding as well, but haven't used it.
As for my wishlist - well, I'd just wish for it to support output files over 2GB. Because that way I could join all the MOVs into a single AVI with just few clicks, without leaving application. But non the less, this app gets 5 stars from me, and I just wish I knew about it earlier! That's why I wrote this review, so others can find it a bit faster, hopefully...
