use it primarily on my mac, mplayer can handle some pretty weird format, better than VLC in my opinion.

Simple but powerfull media player.
I almost play the videos in Linux, GNOME desktop from the command-line and the MPlayer do it best to me, IMHO, I never worries about the GUI.
mplayer and vlc are the best for video formats that osx quicktime and WMP in windows can't play

Horribly. QuickTime is far better, looks nicer and is more stable.
mplayer is neat. i actually installed it because i needed to watch apple trailers. it did the trick.
only use it occasionally....
vlc is still buggy...
id still use front row over anything....
best movie player on MAC!!! It can handle full HD movies, without stuttering :)
Best cross platform media player for audio/video playback. Supports just about every codec used for A/V to date.
