Neopets (originally NeoPets) is a website based around the virtual pets that inhabit the virtual world of Neopia. Visitors can create an account and take care of up to four virtual pets, buying them food, toys, clothes, and other accessories using a virtual currency called Neopoints. Neopoints can be earned through playing games, investing in the stock market, trading, winning contests and making your own shop. Users can explore the world of Neopia with their Neopets and interact with each other through the NeoBoards, NeoMail, and guilds.

I used to play this a long time ago. Agreed, it has lost users since being sold to Viacom.
Various games, some of them are fun, some aren't. Just another flash game site, but very intertwined.
Fun game, but had gone down hill since it was sold to Viacom.
Great online game based mainly on getting points from mostly flash minigames and then using them for buying/selling stuff for your pet.
