  On MS Windows the one and only for burning file,audio compilations.If you want to burn cd/dvd images use alcohol or poweriso.Waveeditor is quite handy - dont install the rest - especially NeroHome.For video editing use Mencoder or similar.

  Fair program, but with free ones like CDBurnerXP, why use this one? Seems to be bloated and sometimes, tied to a particular DVD burner.

  My first burning software, but i think the old 6.X version is best, the later versions are all resource hogs.

  Well, not much there to say - like so many great programs before it reached it's high point and then... it's all been downhill. I've stayed with 6.6.1.15a as this provides me with the functionality I need (on-the-fly and ISO burning + a simple CD emulator) without consuming too much resources.
  The basic Burning ROM (gotta love the name :D) is great, all the rest is what turns Nero down.

  I think the best version was 6th. After this version there was almost no improvements in burning CD/DVD :/ .
