It's good, it does what it says, but could use some serious improvements.

Works well, does most things, just waiting for the VPN support to be added.

A good application. It is working very nice with Gnome. However, in another environments it integrates sometimes not very well.

    Networking tool

I have got only one interface, an ethernet (linked) one.
"ifconfig -a" tells me that I have loopback & eth1, ok.
But the icon of the network manager applet in the status bar shows a cable unplugged while network is up and working fine. Is this normal?

The version in Ubuntu Jaunty is much more reliable. As with all Open Source software, development & feature implementation is progressive and evolving.

@yuretsz The ability to rescan wifi networks would be a nice feature to add.

At the time of writing this, Network mangler (at least the version in Intrepid) is a horrible piece of software that is riddled with bugs and should not be the default in Ubuntu. It will cause you so much needless trouble if you choose to stick with it.

Easiest tool for managing network ever. The only featire it lacks for my opinion is the possibility to rescan wifi networks by a demand.
