Ning is Andreessen's third company (after Netscape and Opsware). The word "Ning" is Chinese for "peace" (simplified Chinese: 宁; traditional Chinese: 寧; pinyin: níng), as explained by Gina Bianchini on the company blog, and is also a surname in Chinese.

I used it for the Sword and Laser group. A sci-fi book club.
I think it is even better than Facebook. To create a community feeling quite good. It is similar to the previous Yahoo Club. And I think it's pretty good album playback system. Am I very optimistic about its future.

Is very cool, I have 2 networks created, you could have a kind of facebook specialized on something that you want and use it to share video, music, photos, foruns, opensocial apps etc
