A mysterious new application
… More EditNotational Velocity is an application that stores and retrieves notes. While there are many, many note-taking programs for Mac OS X, Notational Velocity is the only one that actually operates in a useful manner. The rationale behind this statement consists not of vague terms like "intuitive", "powerful", and "full-featured", but rather is based on the program's employment of well regarded and recognized practices in user interface design.

This is an extremely indispensable app with one purpose: storing your notes. The interface is just as simple as it should be. It's a breeze to use. I store half my brain in its database, nowadays.
Btw. Shouldn't the official name be "Notational Velocity"?
one of my fave apps. Just stores notes in plain text. Real easy to back up and restore. Search is a gem. Interface is sure and simple :)
