A very handy app for keeping track of miscellaneous information. Very easy to use once you get used to it conceptually (it's tag based rather than utilizing a tree structure). Extremely fast searches and a totally unique data export capability - it actually allows you to export your data in a searchable HTML page (you have to see it to believe it :) Can be run from a USB so you can carry your information and it's search capability with you.
Lacks some of the bells and whistles of some of the better known info managers, but perfect for my needs as a student and data cataloger. Very easy to collect data - automatically from the clipboard, drag/drop, enter directly copy/paste. Looks nice once you select a personalized color scheme. A real bargain as long as they hold the price at $20.
NoteFrog is a new application but it looks very out of place in this 32/64 bit era. It wants to be on windows 3.1. If you can get beyond this, you'll find it is a nice idea but too little, ten years too late.
Yes, it can be used to keep track of text snippets, but it is oblivious to the fact that modern computer users need at least SOME level of portability. It doesn't offer a portable version, a cloud syncing version or ANY sort of synchronization what-so-ever.
From my experience with it and with other apps designed to keep track of your notes/information, the ONLY reason to use NoteFrog is being unaware of the alternatives out there.
