Simple as MS Notepad, with syntax hitghlight and some extra basic formating stuff (like control over tab behavior, case conversion, line numbers, stuff like that...)
I'd love to see tabbed interface for multiple documents and something like BBcode extension for Firefox to be featured in this one, however authors goal is to make decent substitute for Notepad and these are not part of his vision :(
Yet, this is still awesome tool, PSpad fanboys can lick my butt :)

This is the editor that replaces notepad here.

It's everything Windows Notepad should have been. Small, light, fast, and feature packed.
An amazing text editor with syntax highlighting for most languages. It automatically detects what sort of formatting to apply by looking at the file extension. Only downside is that it is not cross-platform.
