Number is still young and it shows. It's got a fair amount of bugs and issues
and responce time is rather slow. There's potential in it yes, but it needs some
more work.
Numbers isn't suitable for big-time crunching like you can do in Excel.
There's no macros, no UDFs, and a somewhat limited subset of the more powerful
statistical functions that some people absolutely depend on.
I don't need any of those things, and that means Numbers is incredible. The
UI is stellar, the price is right, and for lightweight financial management it's
fantastic.
Works decently as a basic spreadsheet-like app. I like removing the
"world as a grid" view, and allowing multiple tables per page. The
page layout view has some issues with snapping to the edge, where sometimes it
will push a supposedly-snapped object onto a new page. There is also some weird
behavior when a column has "mostly" the same formula all the way down,
except in a couple of special cases. Numbers seems to stop auto-filling that
column entirely in that situation.
I got a new MacbookPro a couple of months ago and decided to stay clean on
Microsoft. Numbers has helped me to keep clear of Excel. It does wat it needs to
do. And does it well. Very easy to create complete and also complex
spreadsheets.
I hate numbers, Excel is much more powerful.. (that's what I think)
Amazing spreadsheet app, really helpful and especially, easy and fast to use.. Like all Apple apps, it has good logic and usability..
The best spreadsheet app available.
Great program it's young in development but it quickly will become something worth while I think. Cool app! works well, easy and simple to use!

So much easier to use than Excel! Congrats Apple.
Basic spreadsheet features, but nice tool to make well designed pages. Some annoying bugs remain, though
Not as powerful as Excel, but it's good enough for the small amount of spreadsheets I do.

Spreadsheets... the Mac way. love it!
You can copy sheets from Numbers into Pages, perfect for math in invoices etc.
