Microsoft Outlook or Outlook is a personal information manager from Microsoft, and is part of the Microsoft Office suite.

Although often used mainly as an e-mail application, it also provides a calendar, task and contact management, note taking, a journal and web browsing.

It can be used as a stand-alone application, but can also operate in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server to provide enhanced functions for multiple users in an organization, such as shared mailboxes and calendars, Exchange public folders, Sharepoint lists and meeting time allocation.

I really tried to like Mail on OSX but it just can't cut the mustard in my professional life. Outlook is a wonderfull application that receives far to much unconstructive criticism.

I'd be much less productive without it.

Outlook is the industry standard for email/calender applications. Works well and I have little choice but to use it at the moment

I use the software everyday in combination with exchange in my work environment. Sure, there are far better e-mail clients out there, but in combination with Exchange, outlook has the upper hand.

If it were up to me, I would use my gmail interface and e-mail for everything. ^^

A really great client in my opinion. Have tried using others, especially the thunderbird, but always end up using outlook in the end.

Just dont like the fact that is stores all the mails in one proprietary file. Would be great if it stored all your mail in a folder so that even if you didnt have outlook, you could still access your mail.
