Yet another one of my unfavored Office products. We use it at the office. Would never even consider buying this one, whatever the price.
However, in this type of application I do not have a favorite. have yet to find the first application that is really easy and stable at the same time for making diagrams.

Great software. Lacks interface and sometimes hard to use, performance sometimes slow.. even with a quad core processor and 6gb of ram...
the software is the best software you can draw a plan of a network you want to setup and then ilustrate to customer...
100% recommended.
This works, if you can get around the total drain of system resources required to run it.

Great program I mainly use for Interaction Design, with the help of some handy shape library's I can easily create wireframes, flowcharts and sitemaps. My issue however is: as a designer I'm used to the adobe apps.. with their shortcuts. When I use visio I have to adjust my shortcut-knowledge.. and use a cheat-sheet..
for example:
panning in photoshop is easy: just hold down space and drag with mouse..
in visio you will have to hold down: CTRL + SHIFT + right-mouse to pan..
It sucks. I even prefer PowerPointer to draw those diagrams..
Without a doubt the best diagramming software around. I use it mostly for network diagrams, but I've used it for a lot of other things with good results. It does have a lot of issues, but it's miles better than anything else!

One of good programs that MS "bought". I wish Google doc could support it also.
OK. Didn't found a good replacement when working on OS X.
Works good, but it is way too expensive if I would have to pay for it myself.
I can create a to-scale floor plan or site plan in minutes. Very intuitive and easy to use.
I love this program. From Org charts to Swim lane process flowcharts, Visio makes it all simple. Bonus is how well it integrates back into the other MS Office suite of applications.
