It's a standart office application; Word 2007 is really intuitive, but I'm using it only because it's bundled with my office computer and OpenOffice can't read correctly some complex documents.
Sometimes it works great, sometimes not, depends of Bill's mood that particular day.
Goddamnit, Wakoopa. Why do you always have to merge the entries for MS Office Windows/Mac every 2 months. Make it work already!
Not bad, I guess. I only use it because I use MSExcel and they came together :P
Hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it! *coughs* Seriously, though, I much prefer Pages, InDesign, even TextEdit. In releasing Word 2007, Microsoft succeded in alienating their loyal users by replacing the familiar toolbars with a 'ribbon'. Well done, Bill.
Microsoft Office for Mac is so so...
Office Word 2007 has all the features I have ever needed –from simple homework to literary stuff –and then some.
The new ribbon interface is practical, intuitive, discoverable and intelligent suggesting the stuff you may use to edit what you select. It is clearly the way to go in software with lots of functionality, not just Office. Word performs reasonablely well in older computers and perfectly in newest ones.
As for Word 2008, well, I wish they had just ported the PC interface to the Mac. Whenever I use Word 2008 I sorely miss the ribbon (and no, the gallery is far from a substitute for it). While this version has most of the functionality of the PC version, even I –a user who doesn’t exactly spends lots of time in Word –have found functionality missing. Performance wise it is great compared to what the 2004 version was in an Intel Mac.
Word is a mature product that is benefiting from years of experience and innovation and the new perspectives that come, slowly, to one of the oldest uses of personal computers. At this stage it is well worth the price tag, and Microsoft keeps offering good deals for some versions of Office that include Word.
Couldn't survive without it... Best way to make word documents, but why does it have to be so bloody expensive?
It's the best word processor on the market but it could still use a few tune-ups... It's amazing speed is why I continue to use it. Leaves Pages and OpenOffice in the dust...
You pay for performance when it comes to Microsoft Word... Everything one could imagine to do, although sometimes things are buried under layers of clutter... Wanna get this for free?? Get the Microsoft 2010 Beta...Free for a couple of months and so worth the try :)
The best word processor. Worth the money.

best word processor!!
Tired to have to buy new versions with minor new features.
By far the best word processor on the market. It out does pages and OpenOffice doesn't even come close.
