I recently upgraded to the latest edition of Word for Mac. At first I was
pleased to see that it had more of a "Mac" feel than the 2003 version
I'd been using previously. However, it has now crashed more than once while I
was in the midst of writing a document. There seems to be a glitch in the spell
check feature that causes this; however I also experienced another error where
Word tried to re-paginate my 5 page document into something with over 1000 pages
(wtf?!) and then crashed. When I tried to use document recovery, it pulled up a
version of my document that was older than the latest auto-save. Needless to
say, I wish I didn't have to use it. GoogleDocs is much better--and *free*. For
the price, Word shouldn't eat documents or crash, let alone do both at once.
