platforms. It has everything you need plus some useful additions with a light
attitude (unlike Microsoft's Office 2007 ribbon stuff). Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best free word processor available as of now, it offers
what most average users will need. However, as far as interface and features
go, MS Office is better. Still, if all you need is a program to compose and
edit documents, OpenOffice certainly is a more appealing choice over MS Office
because of its unbeatable price--free!

Best alternative for MS Office. It's a bit clunky sometimes, but it does the job.

its free which is good, but Microsoft office is better, so is star office, and neo office and iworks...
