Now that 10.0 is out of beta, I decided to upgrade.
In all honesty I don't really see much immediate difference other than some superficial interface differences.
Opera Turbo seems like a nice feature, but not one I'm likely to get any benefit from, as I don't suffer from poor connections.
The most significant improvement from my perspective is that JavaScript support has been tightened up; it's probably a little less strict, and also now passes Acid3.
The most notable difference relating to this from my POV is that the Google services behave themselves properly now! Mail doesn't lag like hell anymore, and Sites doesn't do the wacky things it used to before.
Yahoo! Mail seems to act a little more stable, but only a little - this is Yahoo! we're talking about, after all.

It still can't run the freaky Java applet they use for the Moongate client on Materia Magica, but overall Opera remains the thinking person's first choice of browser. (And it's still better than Firefox.)
