Pages is amazing for creating professional modern documents, unlike Microsoft Word that produces plain/old style documents with their templates.

I abandoned MS Word two years ago when it slowed to a crawl on documents of 10 pages or more, and I got tired of deleting plist files. I moved to Mellel, and thought that after buying the iWork suite I would continue to use rock-solid Mellel for most of my writing. But Pages is becoming my favorite word processor; today I realized I haven't run Mellel in more than six weeks.

Pages is such a wonderful word processor. The usability is really what sets it apart from the competition. Anyone can sit down and get work done using Pages. I can't imagine a better experience.

Nice iLife integration and opens (all?) windows DOC's, even from the newest Office version (which lots of colleague Windows users couldn't open, ironically!)

While not a Word replacement by any means, but for all my papers which require formating beyond the range of TextEdit it works beautifully. The whole idea of using a unified inspector took some getting used to but all in all it feels much quicker to make changes in than word.

Хороший. Если бы еще умел русские переносы делать, цены бы ему не было. А так он действительно мощный текстовый процессор с понятным интерфейсом. Мне жаль секретарш, которые мучаются микрософтовским вордом.
