I couldn't afford Photoshop so I bought Paint Shop Pro version 8 several
years ago. It provides a similar image editing interface and is everything I
really need. I see no need to upgrade, especially after reading here that the
newer versions aren't as good. I was worried about that when I learned that
Corel bought out Jasc.
Of course Photoshop would be better on some things, but I continue to use
Paint Shop Pro for its simplicity and ease of use and the fact I've used it
since version 5. Versions XI and XII aren't that great in my opinion. I still
continue to use version X.
It used to be better when it was developed by Jasc, until version 8 came out.
I Love PSP! ♥
I have Photoshop but sometimes if I just want to resize or do a simple edit to an image Paint Shop Pro 7 is great.
Não é o melhor, mas é o que sei usar melhor.
Been using PaintShop Pro for a while now It makes basic photo editing tasks as easy can be without having to hassle with the mess of Photoshop.
I still use version 4 for quick image editing ;)

I use it for slicing graphics for web templates.
An adequate photo retouch software.
My favorite for graphic manipulation.
Still using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.10, because the newer versions aren't that handy for me.
Working in PSP is often more effective than in PS.
