It has a lot of functionality for the price, and works well. I prefer to use ACDSee tools for fast viewer and simple editing.

It does what it claims. Basic editor, dont need it often. Prefer ACDSee, but hey! it is free.

Good, although i hate all the floating windows. A good free alternative to Photoshop Elements. I personally find Photoshop Elements much easier to use.

Heard good things so downloaded it recently - had a quite look and it's ok. Lite and has what I need, a step up from Windows Paint and enough for the average Joe (like me) not a Photoshop though (but doesn't pretend to be)

Amazing image editing software. Simple, quick, and loaded with features. Despite being free, it still does a lot of things Photoshop can do.

It's sad to see another Open Source program go closed source.

A fairly routine bitmap editor. I sometimes use it for quick edits, because it loads up very promptly. All the usual filters and layers. Best feature is the filmstrip for overviewing multiple loaded images.

Like Notepad++ is to Notepad. MSPaint is always there but, lets face it, too basic for most tasks. Paint.Net however is light, nimble, capable and easily understood.
    Layers for the masses.

Very light and easy to use. On start up, a bit busy, but it's easy to fix and a great tool in general.
