I use this as a Finder replacement and I love it. Took alittle while to catch up to Snow Leopard and has not made the jump to 64bit. I can not live with out it on my mac anymore.

An awesome file manager. It has the options, the looks, the extensibility, and the tools to make a complete finder replacement. Wish they made a version for windows

An excellent replacement for the Finder. Path Finder is packed with features. My favourites are the Dual Pane browser, the Drop Stack and tabbed browsing. They make heavy duty file management so much easier. The interface is infinitely customisable, everything can be changed, rearranged, added and removed to the users liking. Both the features and interface can be a little overwhelming for new users but you quickly get used to all of Path Finder's neat tricks and unparalleled flexibility. Performance is excellent and you get a lot for 40 bucks.

Download it, try it, buy it, never look back.

Great finder replacement with tons of features, takes a while to learn all of the features, but very effective in simplifying workflow.

Path Finder has now joined the list of essential applications I have on my desktop. I have replaced the OS X Finder completely. Path Finder is much, much more powerful. Apart from offering more flexibility in the file management facilities it also provides panels that can be mapped to many useful, built in features, such as; process list (providing instant access to application selection, quit and launch), constantly available info and attribute panels (invaluable), multiple shelves (so you can have shelf for work, another for video making, another for...).

Another nice feature (for we command line jockeys) is the terminal panel that drops from the bottom of the window and sets the current directory to the one in the browser (real time saver).

Another nice feature for me is the Subversion client. It's basic but functional. Again, a real time saver if you deal with Subversion a lot.

The only downside is performance. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad (certainly no worse than Finder, but then that's not a very high benchmark), but could be better.

There are too many features to list here. If you want a powerful file manager with plenty of other sensible features, look no further. Well worth the asking price.

I have always had a large dislike for the Finder. Path Finder really fixes a lot of issues I have with the Finder. I may get slack for saying this, but it looks more like Windows Explorer on steroids. HIGHLY recommended.

Path Finder is what finder should have been! I spent years waiting for essential features to be added only to discover exactly what I needed is in Path Finder. Things that I find lacking in Finder that PF has are tabs and a two pane view, and to be honest I don't even use most of the other features.

Im on v5.0.8 and do find it slightly buggy. Might crash every few days and take a while to open a new window sometimes, but overall it's great. Shame it can't use finder's desktop, as it doesn't seem to support changing backgrounds, but that's a small price to pay for all the additional functionality.

This is one of the handful of apps that I must have on any machine I'm working on. It is a Finder replacement and is pretty much the Finder on steroids. I think the Finder is probably the one aspect of OSX that needs to be completely re-written, I think it's terrible. Thank god for Path Finder.

A great program! I came from PC and this is exactly what I needed. ^^ A few minor nuisance though... different keyboard shortcuts from Finder (ex. 'return' to rename in Finder, 'shift+command+r" for Path Finder)... Some trackpad gestures do not work (ex. going back (three fingers to left) and forward) Other than these minor problems, it is a very handy, convenient program to handle files.
