Pea zip is the best archiver for linux. But the only problem it takes some effort to integrate it tightly, the way file-roller does.

7-zip has better GUI, but it hasn't got GUI for linux I think. So, sometimes is PeaZip better...

Very good support of compression types but I prefer 7zip so have gone back to that after about one week. 7zip seems quicker to me.

    Excellent program though.

I've enjoyed the speed of peazip, but don't really see much of a difference between it and 7zip. Then again, they're both excellent programs, so I'd recommend either of them.

This free, non-cumbersome program has opened everything I've thrown at it. I haven't even attempted the advance stuff and am quite content.

Awesome, free, lightweight. Works with pretty much every compression right out of the box.
