Just started using it and must say I'm impressed. All of Aviary's functionality resides online, practically ruling out the necessity for installing Photoshop in my case. Then again, I haven't attempted at creating a full web design yet. When I get there, it'll be a great test.

For basic image and vector editing it looks like an amazing free or cheap (if you buy the yearly subscription) alternative to traditional art suites. Though, this issue crops up with every cloud-based application: reliability may become a problem. The site was down yesterday for a little while, rendering editing activities impossible. Display of previous creations *was* still up though. Just a thing to think about if you find yourself completely relying on online web applications. Then again, one might infer that offline software are just as unreliable with computers failing all over the place. I guess it's just an equation you have to make for yourself.

    Anyhoo, great job Aviary.
