The project code-named Picard is the next generation MusicBrainz tagging application. This new tagging concept is Release oriented, as opposed to track oriented like the ClassicTagger was. Picard is written in Python, which is a cross-platform language - this allows the same code to run both on Windows and on Linux. Before too long we will add Mac OS X support as well. See also the [WWW] project page on helixcommunity.org for more details.

Not bad, bu i prefer The GodFather, its much more complete and has many feature, very customisable too. Support for all ID3 V1 and V2.2 tags (including customs) and you can even choose where to gather the data from!
Perfect for tagging and organizing all your mp3s. A little annoying when it doesn't have a cd you have and you have to enter the info yourself, but once its in the database everything is peachy!
That software is awesome! I was looking for something like that for a long time.
Life saver!
One of my all-time favorite programs. I used to do everything manually because I am not only a music lover but I like to have it all nicely organized and Picard does that to perfection. This is the perfect program for tagging MP3s the only thing I could see that should be added is automatic album art downloading.
Best database ever! Picard is my MP3 God
Saves me so much time instead of checking for and tagging each song one at a time.
This is the simplest and best music tagger out there. Easy to use, yet very powerful, it's tied into the musicbrainz.org database. And it's free!
Picard is a great MusicBrainz client. It automatically finds the proper id tag for your mp3 files and inserts them to your files.
It can be obtained from http://musicbrainz.org and applications like picard for other platforms can be found on that web page.
