Pixel is a bitmap and image manipulation software developed and published by Pavel Kanzelsberger. It offers a lot of features with a GUI very close to Adobe Photoshop. Pixel supports grayscale, RGB, CMYK, CIE Lab and HDR image models, color management, layers, adjustment layers, layer effects, filter effects, web page authoring, photo retouching and animations. A Linux.com review states that Pixel's feature set "rivals that of Adobe Photoshop and outstrips the GIMP in several key areas." It is completely cross-platform : Mac OS X, Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, QNX, Zeta, OS/2, eComStation, MorphOS, SkyOS.
