The 474th most popular social network tool on the Web
SharePownce is a free social networking and micro-blogging site started by Internet entrepreneurs Kevin Rose, Leah Culver, Daniel Burka. Shut down, what a shame.
:'(
RIP Pownce
R.I.P.
GONE!
Great I used it
My first micro-blogging site ...
Pownce will be gone. On December 15, 2008 it will close all services. Pownce is history.
Well the good times seem to of ended! Oh well it's been fun Pownce.
Getting shut down.
It's ok. I don't use it much. More like a back up, kinda, sorta.
I somehow fail to see how '100% perfect' is an "accurate" review of anything. Frankly I'm with Joey; I'm sick of social web sites.
Apparently, the JS that was supposed to save star values didn't work last post. Trying again.
Also, $20 for the Pro account is a pretty good deal if you use Pownce a lot.
And now for something completely different, how about an accurate review of Pownce?
Pownce is a great social application (not just a social site) that enables speedy file-sharing, interweb messaging/microblogging, event invitations, and sharing photos/links/videos/etc.
The development team (Leah Culver and Michael Malone) are great at their jobs and constantly trying to improve the site.
Performance was a problem in the beginning, but not anymore. The site is speedy and rarely has any sort of slowdown.
The Events sharing is mediocre right now, but it can be used to great effect within small groups of friends.
Just another social site, pointless.
