Prototype is an action game developed by Radical Entertainment and based on an original IP developed in-house. The game is set in New York City as a virus infects people and government military try to defend against it. The protagonist of the story is named Alex Mercer, who has enemy-absorbing and shapeshifting powers. He can take memories, experiences, biomass and physical forms of the enemies through absorption. Alex can also shapeshift into more specialised forms for attack, defence or sensory enhancement. All of these together are intended to give players multiple ways to complete their objectives. Parallel to the game's storyline is the ability to play the game as a sandbox-style video game giving the player free roam of New York City.

Very interesting and good game!
good game, but not the best
I like it, it is nice.
I'm always a fan of open world environments, so naturally this game appeals to me. And the only thing that makes open world games better is literally tearing people in two and absorbing them. Obviously there is an actual story to it, but come on, everybody really just wants to go tear up the citizens of New York City. There were only a few things that bugged me. First is the price. In my opinion all games are overpriced, so yeah. Secondly, not only were my graphics jumpy during the cutscenes, but my audio simply stopped in game, and hasn't worked since. It still works for everything else, just not Prototype. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted...
freaking awesome
buen juego, aunque consido con esta gente que Alex Mercer es un poco arrogante, bastante buenas graficas, y muy jugable, excelente parkout en el juego.
it`s really great game! i love it %)
Great game, lovely graphics, but the story is awfully short and Alex really sounds like an arrogant guy. I wished there was more to do than the standard "challenges".
Cool! I love it!
Great in small doses, just what I need to relax and get my mind off things.
It's a nice game but the story is very poor; the attacks are super at the begin but later are very stupids; and need some better pedestrians.
I see it like a GTA4 but in sandbox mode.
yes
its one of the best releases 2009 and we should be happy it isnt another stupid ego-shooter or Final FantasyXXXXX.
Really Great Game, Really
Yes I am into Mindless "Me like smash things!", really, especially after a hard day at work. Better than beat kids or anything else real-life related. All I can say, I am still enjoying it a LOT.
