The 17th most popular firewall on Windows
… More EditVery lightweight free IP-blocker which allows or blocks incoming and outgoing connections based on lists of ip-ranges. It installs as a network driver and thus works on a system level which leaves a very small footprint. Runs fine alongside "full featured firewalls". Mostly used as a means to stop malware, anti p2p and other harmful sources from connecting with your computer. Normally used together with Block List Manager from the same company/website, this app downloads and maintains the IP Black lists which are regularly updated. Protowall blocks IP's (Internet addresses) you instruct it to block and is very good used with Block List Manager from the same company that has released Protowall. It is difficult to set up right, but when you have set it up right it blocks every IP you tell it to block from your wired/wireless connection.
brilliant program for when you are torrenting your really legal stuff, only catch is it can be a pain to set up. does the same thing as peerguardian 2. an essential in my protection utilities.
