If you're using Windows Vista, make sure you choose "Run as Administrator" and install LibUSB in "Windows XP Service Pack 2" compatibility mode. Unfortunately the support forums for this program are saturated with people who don't seem like they should be within 100 feet of a computer, so I hope the fruits of my trial-and-error help.
