When I set out on my adventure to jailbreak (in other words, make USE of) my iPod touch 2g (2.2.1), QuickPwn was riddled with bulls*hit and Quickfreedom worked like a charm after a couple tries. Now I know this program works for many, and I'm unsure if Quickpwn and Quickfreedom are from the same developers or not... but it all comes down to what works.
Great, but it doesn't support 3.0 fimware yet so I used Redsn0w

Simple to use interface, but if you get in the wrong step, you might **** up completely. Performance wise, no issues there :) Its free and great! Saved me a heck lot of money, jailbreaking :)
Caused me a lot of problems. Jailbreaking is one of them.
further to that, I suggest if you try to use this proggie, make sure the device is as empty as possible. (i.e. a fresh restore is always good)

Very easy, though my iPhone hung at the apple logo screen after jailbreaking it.. there's a bug when you have 20 or more app store apps which prevent a clean install, to solve you simply run a diagnostic within itunes and it fixes it..
They should put that in the instructions.. apart from that fantastic software and well worth it concidering all the extra stuff you get on the iPhone.
Quick and easy jailbreak method.
Very simple utility that has worked 100% of the time for me. I wish it had a little more flexibility, but then it wouldn't be "quick". Very good app, though.
Fast and easy way to jailbreak my iPhone 3G. Coupled with the fact that I'm on Windows, it was a no-brainer choice to make. Have never had any problems with my jailbroken phone; Only qualm is losing your jailbreak during each firmware upgrade. :(

Awesome app, but sad at the same time since you can't do anything useful with the touch without a failbreak.
