I am not exaggerating when I say Quicksilver may be the most revolutionary
tool ever made for any operating system. Once you get used to it you can never
go back. It is easily the most powerful application I have ever used for task
management. Apparently it's going open source soon, I can only imagine how
extensible it will become once people get to see the source and write their own
plugins. I pray for a Windows version someday. Makes Spotlight look like total
crap.
Quicksilver... Mac OS X with Quicksilver is a completely different OS than
Mac OS X without Quicksilver. Let me clarify, different in a good way. See, I
use Quicksilver to jump between apps, songs in iTunes, set ratings in iTunes,
access menubar items, set reminds to check the laundry or oven, display large
blocks of text, quickly have OS X read me a sentence, and much more.
Check out http://www.43folders.com/ for tons of info on Quicksilver.
Merlin Mann's got some good stuff up there.
Without a doubt in my mind, I can say the QuickSilver is the most deep
application I have ever used. You can use it for months on end, and still find a
new use for it every single day. Anybody with OS X should at least give
QuickSilver a try.
what can't quicksilver do? if you only use quicksilver for an application
launcher i seriously suggest learning some of the more advanced tasks, like
uploading images to flickr, moving files, doing math.. if you are on a mac, and
you don't have quicksilver installed. download it right now.
I use Quicksilver to alter reality using the powers of my mind. It is an
interface into my del.icio.us bookmarks, my Gmail, lets me schedule events on my
calendar... and all from an elegant, unified interface. It can't be beat.
Awesome - a must to learn - at least just a few aspects of it. Does
everything imaginable - it is as if you speak to the machine through your
keyboard - though you need to learn the language..
ella.

Stop what you are doing and go download this software immediately. It is the only way you can begin to grasp the usefulness of this app.

I love Quicksilver. Sadly, I only use it as an application launcher at present, so I am not unleashing its full potential. But one day...
