Great scope for desktop customisation. Performs very reliably. Personally, I
use it with a modified enigma theme, in conjuction with Samurize and a skinned
Rainlender set-up to get things just how I like them.
A fantastic replacement for the resource heavy Windows Vista Sidebar. I have
all the information I used to have and then some more for 1/4 of the RAM usage.
It's a little daunting to get used to at first but there are tons of fantastic
configs available to get you started.
I like that rainmeter has lots of easily customizable skins, and it seems to
work well on my computer, doesn't hog RAM/take up space. Sometimes widgets hide,
but that's ok, they come back. I reccon they're just a bit shy.
So fucking awesome.
I have my CPU, RAM, and Swap usage embedded on my desktop. I also have my
downstream and downstream bitrate showing as well. I have it set so it is very
clean, and unobtrusive which was a requirement.
I was going to use Samurize, but fucking thing kept crashing, so it can
kiss my ass.
Very handy though. It can display so many different metrics, and stuff.
Very useful if you like desktop customization.
This program is great for showing all kind of information on your desktop. A
bit of like samurize... Rainmeter is normally lighter on your resources
though.
Setting up your config might take a little while to learn, but thankfully
there are plenty of great configs out there already check a site like
customize.org
Personally, I use it to show the status of my harddrives, and use to show
winamp info. Plenty of other things can be shown though
I use it to display a clock and date on my desktop, but i'm sure it can do oh
so much more. It just sits there and doesn't ask anything from me, like a good
app should.
Nice program. Very fast and small, but can do many things. You just need to
be familiar with coding and all that stuff, if you want to make your own
"skins."

Just started using it. Very easy to set up and customize. You can find some sick skins for this too.
customize my desktop.. very easy (comparing it w samurize)
Better not to use it. Slows down your computer, especially when you click on icons at the taskbar.

Great app for embedded desktop information. Extremely customisable, does what you need to do.

I use it to display my download and upload rate, a digital clock, time, and date all on my desktop. Invaluable!
