It emulates a rack of hardware synthesizers, samplers, signal processors, sequencers and mixers. Really an excellent piece of software. The most reliable and solid music program I've ever used. I can't remember the last time I had a crash in Reason (in fact the only reason I've ever lost work is because I'm so used to it being solid that I forgot to save work and then had a power cut).
Incredible range of sounds you can get from it, and also really suits the way I play live sets.
Got to love the intuitive layout and the ability to mess with things via all the cabling.

I've been using Propellerhead software since ReBirth 1.0 and they simply make outstanding products. Reason is probably the best of its kind.

The _Best_ program for music production.
Undoubtedly one of the best production suites available, but without wishing to detract from its quality, I have to admit to prefering Logic and Ableton these days.

Ultimate electronic music production tool ever
I've been a Reason user since 2003. My favorite music production application. I haven't really used anything else to produce my music since I discovered it.
Gotta love Reason have spent many an hour getting lost in the endless depths, Its really not that hard to use either it might look intimidating but you can do quite a lot just with some tinkering around and watching a few tutorial videos and help websites.

Currently using Reason with Fl studio, rewired that is. I switched to Fl studio a while ago because reason doesn't support any plugins, but Thor is a really great synthesizer. So now I'm starting to use Reason again, just for the synths in there. But I keep Fl studio as my main application.
Reason 4 is by far the most easy to use and powerful music station.
great synthesizers and NN-XT , NN19 DS s ! but mixer and Alt button are so old .
