Sledgehammer Slash!
You can level massive buildings with a SLEDGEHAMMER! All buildings and structures are destructible. Lots of fun, even after you've completed.
awesome game but i wanted more from the plot and also the online gaming is a bit cheap hammer much?
The storyline is basic, but the awesome engine makes up for all of it.
It's a really fun game.
You can destroy lots of things (nearly everything :D) and the gameplay is great, graphics look awesome but sometimes its just a bit to much to handle ( big and lots of explosions when blasting away EDF)
Loading times are very good for the amount of things to load and the missions are awesome.
Overall i give it 8/10 :D
I'm rating the Geo-Mod 2.0 engine here basically, not really the game. The loading times are great for the high amount of destructibility, but the graphics are really intensive. While well made games like Half-Life 2 (that run on the Source engine) can run smoothly looking great (16xQ AA, 1280x1024, etc.), the Geo-Mod 2.0 engine (or at least Red Faction: Guerrilla) isn't so kind on hardware.
But loading times were impressive, and the architecture realism is yet to be beat.
It had it's moments though, for example, when knocking out the 4 beams to a guard tower it would continue to creak for a while being held up by a ladder alone...then fall eventually. But those moments are far and few for the most part. And frankly I was expecting it to be a lot buggier, maybe I've just been 'traumatized' by AA3. : P
So all-in-all, good engine, could be less hardware intensive, and has some quirks (which can be expected, it's new).
