ReNamer does what it name says. Free, fast and a no nonsense interface.
A very robust and powerful file renaming utility. I primarily use it to rename my family digital pictures. I prefer the file names to be dates and times the photos were taken. Ant Renamer can pull this date information from the EXIF tag to rename the file. And it's free.
Very powerful batch file renaming utility. Can remove, add and replace parts of a filename (like remove all the _ in a file name or capitalize all the words in a filename). Loaded with options. I use it with mp3tag to maintain my songs collection.
