… More EditRSLogix 500 is an windows based IDE for writting PLC logic for the Allen-Bradley SLC™ 500 and MicroLogix™ families of processors. It is the predecessor of RSLogix 5000, and uses ladder logic and datafile based variables versus the 5000s fully symbolic variables.
Allows for online/offline editing and viewing, depending on the specific type of PLC processor being used.

The IDE locks up constantly under normal usage conditions. The features compared to those of RS5000 are sorely lacking, but the processors that it is intended for is partially to blame for that as well. The comparison/viewing tools aren't broken out which tends to be very annoying.
Varying versions often cause issues on the target processors such as program/processor corruption.
