The Snow Leopard version is a bit annoying to quit, but four-finger swipe will fix that.

Sitting at dining room table, I can help my wife on her iMac (sitting about 10 feet from me), change the videos playing on the TV (powered by a Mac Mini), and control the eMac in the basement while it imports old videos from VHS tapes and I can keep an eye on my kid and friends via the iSight plugged into that computer -- all without leaving my spot at the dining room table.

Like all things Mac, it just works. It may not be as feature-rich as alternatives, but the ease of use and cost (built into the OS) makes it a very valuable tool.

For home server administration, it's the best ;)

Lacks on the feature side, but for the price of free and being included in OSX you can't beat it.

Screen Sharing could do with a few more features. There used to be some hidden features that could be enabled via Terminal but Apple took them out, which was a shame because I used to use them a lot. That being said, Screen Sharing does the job nicely, it beats getting up and walking from one side of the house to the other and back again multiple times. The interface is simple but it could be more immersive. I'd like to be able to change the volume on the shared Mac with the volume keys on my keyboard and the only way of switching applications on the shared Mac is to use the Dock, which doesn't work well over a network. Performance is pretty good, of course that mostly depends on what network you're using. Price, Screen Sharing is included with Leopard so effectively, it's free.

Very useful for controlling the other computer without getting off the couch. Less annoying than the iChat version.

While it's not perfect (Clipboard sharing and drag and drop file transfers would make it so) it works wonderfully well

Leopard built-in VNC client... there's no need for Chicken of the VNC... :P

As with all VNC clients, needs improvement. I am glad that this is included with Leopard now. Though I wish the Back to my Mac was a bit more configurable. My computer at home is double-NAT'd meaning I can't use that feature. I can still manually connect to it with the VNC:// call.
