fast, reliable and definitely one of the best software scanner/updater - best of all it's FREE!!
Fairly small app and runs fast. I have never seen a false positive and am sometimes surprised that it finds stuff that I thought was up to date. Highly recommended - better than some of the similar apps. Free too!
Secunia PSI keeps track of my software and I get a list of the applications that are out of date. That way I can update my software easily.

Great utility for helping know which applications are not on current patch levels. It has helped me quickly patch computers more quickly and avoid most of the exploits when they come out.
Great free system tool to scan for software vulnerabilities. Goes well with Filehippo.com update checker.
This is an excellent idea. It works pretty well to patch security flaws on your machine and I particularly like the histogram that becomes available over a period of time. The only off-putting thing about this excellent bit of freeware is the inability to ignore some 'to-be-patched' programs - if you have windows update disabled on an office PC by an unfortunate network policy it gets particularly on your nerves!
Não serviu pra muita coisa aqui, porque eu sempre to checando atualizações. Mas vai ajudar bastante no meu scan semanal por updates.
I prefer PSI to the starupdater and sumo, just because it makes you update software on security events, so you have to update less frequent.

Good tool for alerting you of out of date software, software will security holes in particular. It will even give you the link to the updated software or instructions for properly updating the vulnerable software. Secunia PSI is totally free as well.
Very useful to find "stale" software.
