The summary is that if they incorporated a few more features like inline
viewing of pics and video (as in the web version), ability to manage followers,
and the ability to mark tweets as read Seesmic would far outdistance tweetdeck
as the leading third party twitter app.
Seesmic is the first app I have found that can extract all of my tweets from
Twitter. I wonder how they do that. Since most of them went in through
FriendFeed and FriendFeed is 'going away' extracting all of my messages is
something I wanted to do. Hooray for Seesmic.
Seesmic Desktop is the ideal Twitter client for anyone with multiple Twitter
accounts. TweetDeck, it's only competitor, doesn't do multiple accounts--well,
you POST to multiple accounts, but TweetDeck doesn't enable unifying accounts'
replies or DMS into single columns. As of version 0.4, released 2009-07-10,
Seesmic Desktop is a dream application for power and professional Twitter
users.
In the war for best AIR-powered Twitter desktop clients, I have to give a
slight edge to Seesmic Desktop, over Tweetdeck. It's more a matter of personal
preference, you can't go wrong with either one if you follow a lot of Tweeple
and you're trying to shape the data coming out of the firehose that is Twitter
in a meaningful way. What I prefer about Seesmic is the way you can create
groups of users, either arbitrarily or based on keywords. I think this grouping
feature alone is executed just a little better than Tweetdeck, and that's why
Seesmic is my choice right now. Of course, your mileage may vary.
its quite nice but a little buggy on ubuntu..
BEST PLATFORM FOR TWEETING EVER.
The best software from its genre. Great interface, cool simplicity and keeps you always on the top of twitter and facebook news. Very nice indeed.
I no longer use this client, now I use, nambo
Seesmic Desktop is close to perfect. I use the multi account feature extensively and it makes life a whole lot easier. it is feature rich and the interface is easy to use. I wrote a blog on it at http://zucker-scharff.blogspot.com/2009/08/seesmic-desktop-excellent-multi-account.html.

pretty good, getting better and better with each update.
Great twitter client
It's not bab. But it has got some bugs.
My favorite desktop-client for twitter. Very useful because of the columns. You can use multiple accounts, too.

Awesome! Everything in it is great.
