I like this IDE because it's very fast comparing to Visual Studio. Of course the last one is much more powerful, but SharpDevelop is a great alternative and a good example of what great stuff could be created with C#/.NET

Great IDE! It's easy to use, working without any problems and just does the job, supporting you with the common features.

Excellent alternative to Visual Studio. The fact that its development is open-source and thereby community-driven gives developers a chance to make some changes on their own. Easy to integrate your own compiler and addins thanks to its managed nature (SharpDevelop is totally written in managed code). You can easily develop applications for Mono with Mono.Addin and its project templates. Linux developers should check out MonoDevelop, which is a fork of an early SharpDevelop that is a part of Mono.

Pretty slow on my computer (when I did install it a couple of months back) compared to Visual Studio, but otherwise a decent application.

Very good IDE, powerful, fast and small.
