What is Shelved?

Shelved is a scratch pad for long and / or important but uninteresting links. Shelved requires Mac OSX 10.5(Leopard).

Can't I just bookmark those items?

Sure, if you read all of your content using one browser. I am(and people I know are) always trying out several browsers. Having them bookmarked in the current browser may not be trackable. News readers only help complicate the issue more.

Doesn't using delicious or similar solve these problems?

Yes. However, a good tagging workflow needs to be established in order to keep track of the items that pending study.
