works and is not a pain in the ass. approved
1) press winkey + r to bring up the run menu
2) type shutdown -i
3) enter computer name, how long until you want to shutdown and leave a comment and voila, your computer will turn itself off after the desired time. Very handy when watching stuff at night and you just fall asleep with the comp on, thinking green ;)

I've never used this program, I've just been using the built-in Windows shutdown.
