SimCity Societies

Not as good as when compared to SimCity 3000 or SimCity 4. Game play is simple. Camera control limited, in the sense that you cannot zoom out far enough. But when you zoom in, the details are amazing. And when you are zoomed in, you can look at what the Sims are doing, follow them, interact with them. But still, rather than busy managing a city, this game wants you to manage the people in the city. After a few cities, you'll get bored fast.

It's not bad. But I sort of hate the camera controls.

Those used to the previous versions of SimCity will have to take this one with a grain of salt. With that said, it's pretty cool. I like how it's somewhat counter-intuitive to the way the older ones played - instead of buildings popping up based on your infrastructure, land value, sim happiness, etc - in this one you decide each building and view the impact it has on your city. My gripes are mostly just... I wish the view-controls were the same as in Sim City 3000/4, although maybe I'm just not toggling the prefs the right way. It's a nice game, although I can see how it could easily alienate a hardcore SimCity fan.
